Details

Packed in a handy, reusable ammo can, these rounds are loaded on stripper clips and ready to accompany you on your next range trip. Made to NATO specifications by Federal Premium Ammunition, which oversees production at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, this 5.56 ammo is essentially identical to M193 ball ammo used by the US military. The high-pressure cartridges will achieve a muzzle velocity of about 3240 feet per second using a 55-grain boat-tailed FMJ bullet.

Each stripper clip holds 10 brass-cased, Boxer-primed rounds, and each box holds 3 loaded clips. The whole can holds 14 boxes for a total of 420 rounds of ammo. This package is an excellent value for high-volume AR shooters. Use the can to store your spent casings, reload them, pack them back in and get back to shooting!

Safety note: This is 5.56 NATO ammo, not .223 Remington ammo. Owners of firearms chambered in .223 Remington should double check with the manufacturer to determine whether it is safe to fire higher-pressure 5.56x45 rounds in their weapon.

This ammo has gained immense popularity for its military-grade consistency. Federal is headquartered in Minnesota and produces a full line of range and self-defense ammo.
