These Russian-made cartridges are steel-cased and topped with a 230gr full metal jacket (FMJ) projectile. The steel casings are coated with zinc which makes them durable and resistant to corrosion so they hold up in long-term storage. This Berdan-primed ammo is a good disposable option for shooters who are not interested in reloading their casings. The heavy 230gr projectile produces a muzzle velocity of 886 fps and features a non-magnetic lead core.
The Bear ammo brand sprouted up in the late 1800's and is currently manufactured by the Barnaul Cartridge Plant in Barnaul, Russia. The quality of their ammunition has improved over the years, and this .45 ACP is a great ammo to start with if you are new to Russian-manufactured ammo.
