If high ammunition costs for .223 Remington are keeping you
off the range, Silver Bear might be your answer. This economical zinc-plated
steel-cased ammo uses a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet and achieves a muzzle
velocity of 3,050 feet per second, close to that of M193 ball ammo. Each box
holds 20 rounds with non-corrosive Berdan primers. The steel casings in this
ammo cannot be reloaded.
Silver Bear ammo is made by the Barnaul Machine Plant, a factory located in Barnaul, Russia.
