People in Thailand text “555” instead of “LOL” when they want to show they are laughing. That’s because their word for five sounds like “ha.” Our 555 rounds of military surplus 8mm Mauser ammo aren’t going to make you laugh, but they are going to let you shoot well on a budget. And that’s no joke!
This cartridge originated in Yugoslavia, where it was standard issue for the now defunct country’s infantry. It is a range round with a 198 grain full metal jacket bullet, and its brass casing sets it apart from much of the steel cased stuff from Eastern Europe. As is common, this round has an economical yet reliable Berdan primer. It is also corrosive, so don’t let your Mauser sit for too long without cleaning it.
We have taken the liberty of packing these rounds in a good condition steel ammo can. It too is military surplus, with a strong seal, sturdy handle, and a little dirt and scuffing here and there. That way you won’t have to feel bad if you drop it.

A: Sorry for the late response! The "11-1952" printed on this ammo's packaging would indicate that it was made in November of 1952
