Founded in 1876, Fiocchi is currently under its fifth generation of ownership by the Fiocchi family. Personally speaking, the oldest heirloom I own is my grandfather’s Ruger Standard Model, which I treat better than an eccentric millionaire widow would treat her Persian cat. If I had an entire ammunition company that my great-great-great-great-grandfather had founded, I’m certain I’d strive to create ammo as good as that which the Fiocchi family is currently making.
Here’s a good example of the Fiocchis’ work right here. This 10mm cartridge is designed to perform similarly to the Italian company’s premium 10mm load, but it’s more accessibly priced so that you wouldn’t rue training with it as well. Along with its caliber’s innate power, this round is able to do a lot of damage with its 180 grain jacketed hollow point projectile, which blossoms during penetration to disperse lethal energy and produce a wide wound channel. Fiocchi’s brass casing will move in and out of your pistol’s action like a breeze, and is perfect for reloading several times.
