The Union Metallic Cartridge Company was founded in 1867 and merged with Remington in 1888. For a while their 190 foot shot tower was the tallest building in Connecticut, but now it’s City Place I in Hartford. That skyscraper is full of business management consultants, which we believe are nowhere near as important as shot. But hey, that’s progress for you.
Remington didn’t need to drop this 223 Rem cartridge’s 55 grain bullet from a great height to make it just right.
