S&B does use large pistol primers in their .45 ACP ammunition.
Q: are bullets for S&B 45ACP FMJ magnetic? Range checks it....

The Sellier and Bellot .45 ACP ammunition is loaded with a standard copper coated, lead core bullet. It does not contain any steel.
